Dr. Emeka Nkoro is an Associate Professor (Reader) in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Rivers State, Nigeria. He hails from Rumuomoi Town, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State.
He holds a B.Sc. in Economics and Statistics from the University of Benin (1998–2003), and an M.Sc. (2007–2009) and Ph.D. (2010–2015) in Economics from the University of Port Harcourt, alongside advanced training at the Centre for Econometric and Allied Research, University of Ibadan, and certifications in Monetary Policy Analysis and Forecasting (IMF Learning Initiative) and Data Science: Linear Regression (Harvard University Learning Initiative).
He has authored over 50 works across international and local peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and conference papers, and serves as an academic consultant to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and the Civil Resource Development and Documentation Centre (CIRDDOC). He supervises research at all levels — undergraduate through Ph.D. — since 2013.
